how are the people who love this manga - and all the others this author has written - supposed to understand them if they cannot interpret them? and while i agree that the thousands of stupidly ridiculous videos power scaling and analyzing chainsaw man take that work too seriously, this manga took his point beyond a “let’s keep it light” deal and made it more of a “stop interpreting things, cause you’re looking at things that aren’t even there.” sorry self-proclaimed “mad genius,” that your stories are so nonsensical that people dig for something to help them understand it. is the protagonist upset at being called cringe, relieved that somebody finally understood that he’s just a fool who wrote a shitty song for a girl, lamenting life because the videos he deleted are not gone? there is no message behind the spread unless someone has a thought based upon the nonsensical shit given in the first half and then drew some semblance of a conclusion. like the ending of this one shot is so ridiculously ambiguous that he looses the point through his medium. maybe write a story that doesn’t lose all focus at the end and then people will stop analyzing your shit so much. i get king’s whole point is to convince the people who love his manga to just read the story and stop analyzing things to death, but meh.

Overall, it was just a nice, thought-provoking drabble to pass the time. It might not be a new commentary on it but the way it's tackled is refreshing. The exploration of online culture, as it was, through this lens is something that everyone can relate to from one end or the other of the spectrum and thus it makes this one a timeless piece. It added depth and layers and completely different meanings to the theme of the story.
